Spoon Carving

In this 3 hour hands-on workshop, participants will carve a wooden spoon from a pre-cut blank while learning the fundamentals of safe, efficient spoon carving. Led by woodworker Kate Hawes, the class will cover tool use, carving techniques, grain orientation, and shaping for both function and beauty.

With an emphasis on process and material awareness, students will leave with a finished (or nearly finished) spoon and the confidence to continue carving on their own. This workshop is suitable for beginners and those with some woodworking experience.
